Jeff Niles
SENIOR PASTOR
Jeff grew up in Colorado and was called by the Lord into ministry in his early years of high school. After graduating from Moody Bible Institute in 1995 he began an 11-year career in ministry. Then in 2006, he and Angie moved to Fort Worth, Texas with their five children where they continued to serve in the local church while attending Dallas Theological Seminary. During this time God further cultivated a love for God’s word and a desire to shepherd God’s people and finally led their family to DeWitt, a community that they enjoy calling "home."
DeWitt Evangelical Free Church is a church that intends to “reflect the magnificence of God” as we are together “knowing Christ and making him known.” Jeff's role in accomplishing that mission is primarily through the preaching of God’s word, shepherding the flock, and providing leadership to the church body. Jeff considers it a blessing and a great privilege to be able to serve here and be a part of this community.

Jared Bennett
ASSOCIATE PASTOR / YOUTH PASTOR
Jared will readily admit that he originally resisted the call to ministry thanks to having grown up as a “pastor’s kid” and seeing how hard it can be to love and shepherd the local church. But God wouldn’t be ignored and consistently pursued Jared’s heart — even when he moved almost 2,000 miles away from Iowa to live in the Pacific Northwest!
In Portland, Oregon at Multnomah University, Jared discovered a deep love for communicating the love of Jesus to teenagers from all walks of life. As a result, he chose to double major in Biblical Studies and Youth Ministry. He went back to school some years later to “add more tools to his ministry toolbox", and earned his Master’s degree in Applied Theology with an emphasis in Youth Ministry (Multnomah Seminary).
Alongside his academic training, Jared has over a decade of experience in church Youth Ministry. He prioritizes working with parents and volunteers to effectively foster discipleship and understanding of the scriptures.
Jared and his wife, Stephanie, were married in 2009 and have two wonderful kids: Riley and Logan.
His hobbies include: brewing the perfect cup of coffee, 3D printing movie props, collecting Lego mini figures, playing video games, enjoying great movies on the biggest screen available, and dabbling in graphic design.

Cindy Nees
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DIRECTOR
“Miss Cindy” has been a part of DeWitt E-Free since 1977. In fact, as newlyweds, she and her husband started attending the second ever Bible study that was the beginning of our church!
Cindy's four grown children and five “grandboys” (soon to be six) are spread out far and wide across Michigan, Tennessee, and the far corner of Illinois. But that doesn’t stop her from spending as much time as she can with them!
Her love of teaching is evident from the twenty-four years she spent in education so it should come as no surprise to hear that Cindy serves both part-time as our Director of Children’s Ministry and part-time as the Children’s Librarian at the Community Library! Working with kids is a core part of what makes her “Miss Cindy”.
Cindy’s passion as our Children’s Ministries Director is to partner with parents, church leadership, and pastors to bring all children into a life-changing relationship with Jesus. She loves to see our little ones grow in their knowledge and love of Him and helping prepare them for the plan God has for their lives.

Tammy Holmes
ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY
I started working at DeWitt E-Free in February of 2004. I have been married to my husband Jason since 1998. We have been blessed with 3 beautiful children: James, Kyle and Emma. I enjoy singing with the Praise Team and volunteering at church activities.
I love working as a Church Secretary mainly because I get to work and interact with Christians on a daily basis.
