What is THE FIFTH QUARTER?

TFQ is an after-party exclusively for high school students after all Central DeWitt varsity home football games.

All 9th-12th graders are invited! So bring your friends and enjoy an open gym, video game battles, and hilarious board games all in a safe environment where you get to stay up late, eat junk food, and drink way too much caffeine!

FAQs

Is it really only $5??

Let’s be honest, $5 at the door does NOT cover the cost of all the food, games, and door prizes. And it’s not expected to! The cover charge exists simply to help ensure students who show up want to be here.

What activities are there?

Oh so many! Gaga Ball, 9-Square, 4-player video games, hilarious board games plus every TFQ will also have a special event starting at 11pm ranging from Dodgeball and Nerf Battles to Karaoke!

What time is it?

If you don't want to stay till the end of the game, you can show up to TFQ when the doors open at 9pm. Cleanup begins when the clock strikes 12am.

Do students have to stay the whole time?

You can leave whenever you need to — a curfew is a curfew! But, for safety reasons, once you leave you gotta go home. Meaning if you got a craving for an Oreo McFlurry, pick it up before showing up.

Who’s in charge around here?

Volunteers from DeWitt E-Free help chaperone TFQ so that all high schoolers can enjoy a fun and safe evening. Pastor Jared, who has been hosting THE FIFTH QUARTER since 2014, puts it all together.

What’s the point of this?

We open the church building up to all 9th-12th graders for TFQ because we understand that not everyone wants to go to bed right after the game or stop hanging out with their friends. Offering a safe space for high schoolers to hang out is a simple way for us to love DeWitt.
